Another New Year’s Eve is upon us.

Some people will dress up and go out on the town, while others would rather stay in and invite friends over for food and fun. If the latter is more up your alley, then you’re probably in need of party ideas – namely games. Scrabble is always a crowd-pleaser, but if it’s the right time to kick it up that extra notch, then check out a few new and innovative ideas:

The Year’s ‘Memorable’ Moments
From Alice and Lois comes a game to get the conversation going. Look back to the past 364.5 days and let everyone know what the best movie you saw was, or the hardest you laughed – maybe the biggest lesson you learned. It might take a few minutes to come up with the answers, but it will make you appreciate all the times you maybe forgot.

Who’s Who
Felling self-conscious? If so, then this game might not be for you, but it CAN be a fun way to see how well everyone knows each other. From the minds at Rosy Glasses, the object is to take a piece of paper and write down your New Year’s Resolution in two forms: What you will do MORE of, and what you will do LESS of. Once everyone’s slip is filled out, put them all into a large jar, and randomly pick one. Read it out loud and see if everyone can guess which answer goes with which guest.

Know That Song?
For those that are hip to the music scene – both current and past songs – will love a good ‘ol fashioned lip syncing contest! Give guests 5 pieces of paper each, labeled 1 through 5, and have them score each player based on their song knowledge. Extra points go for a truly energetic performance.

The Hollywood Game
Are you or your group movie fans? TinyPrints suggests that in this game, those participating will sit in a circle and start off with an actor or actress. The person to their left will come up with a movie they were in. The next person, however, needs to come up with a different actor from that movie, and then the next person needs to come up with a movie they were in. This will continue until someone can not come up with an actor/actress or movie – where at that time, points will go to the person who stumped them.

New Year’s Eve can be just as enjoyable at home with close friends than it is out on the town. Have a safe – and fun – time, from your friends at Eric von Schledorn Chevy Buick Cadillac in Saukville.
